Gaga for gishy goo? Not quite.Mar 12, 2013
By PATRICIA D
I am an adult wearied of traditional braces. I was looking for something easier to use than the silicone I favored. This container gave me about eight uses. I used it to cover four brackets on top and four to three bothersome brackets on the bottom. You must work quickly to mix the product or it will "set-up" and become unusable. It becomes quite rubbery and affixes easily to the brackets. Feels smooth, lips glide over with no problems and is flavorless. It does not tend to spread like silicone or wax. It must be placed precisely and quickly. I used the tooth colored Gishy Goo, although it was unsightly when I spoke or smiled, it provided a comfort that I used all day long. I ate and drank with it attached, because I read a review some where that said you could, even though it expressly states not to do so in the package insert. I did that only after using it a few times, because I realized that for the money this stuff wasn't going to go a long way. It gets five stars for comfort, four for ease of use, and an overall three, just because of the price and amount of product. As a bonus mine came with a box of 25 Opal Pix. I only used one to remove the gishy goo, have not used to clean between teeth or brackets; however, pretty sure they will all be used before my braces journey ends.
I love gishy goo!Oct 10, 2013
This stuff is awesome! As a grownup with braces, my boyfriend and I have been having some intimate difficulties due to my new braces and this stuff really stays on where wax will not stay. Yes, it is bright green but that is ok. I wish they had this stuff when I had braces as a kid!

My daughter ran out, and need more. Fast shipping, and the stuff works great. Wish they had it when I was a kid.
It's okayJun 07, 2013
Read a lot of reviews that this stuff doesn't fall off but it did for me. Also this stuff drys up fast! You have to be quick to put it on. Don't spend too much time mixing the 2 together.
Much better than waxDec 09, 2012
I recently had lingual braces put on my teeth. The orthodontist provided me with a sample of "the usual" wax people use and Gishy Goo. The Gishy Goo is superior to wax in every way imaginable. It does a great job of protecting my tongue and keeps me comfortable throughout the day.
